General Conference watch party - October 3rd and 4th 📝

Are you excited for General Conference this weekend? 📺📝

What if this spiritual feast were accompanied by a physical feast (aka, pizza that may be supplemented by snacks you and others bring)? 👀 

Thanks to the Lord, the missionaries, President Habing, and our budget, there will be pizza between the morning and afternoon sessions! 🥳🍕

• What: General Conference watch party
• When: This Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 3 and 4) between 11:00 AM to 12:30-ish PM. The actual sessions are 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
• Where: 2990 Quadra Street, Relief Society room (aka, where we have Sunday School)
• Who: Everyone! Invite your friends, neighbours, ministering people, …

Please feel free to bring a snack to share if you are able and spread the good news with your ministering people and friends! 🙌

 If you prefer, they will also be hosting sessions at the stake centre (701 Mann Avenue) or you can also watch sessions online here.

First Ward Relief Society (women's) Christmas activity🎄🎁🥣 - November 7th

The First Ward Relief Society invites us YSA sisters to join them in their 2026 Christmas activity! 🥳

• What: A service project, clothing exchange, a fun Nativity craft, and a luncheon!
• When: Saturday, November 7th
• Where: 2990 Quadra Street

"We have chosen Operation Christmas Child as our service project this year. We create boxes of small toys and gifts that will be sent to children around the world. We are asking sisters to please help with the following:

• Please help us collect boxes of the following types:
• Average size shoe boxes (with detachable lids) that we will wrap in Christmas paper.
• Decorative cardboard or plastic Christmas boxes - the kind you can purchase at the dollar store that don’t need to be wrapped but must be average shoe box size.
• Please help us begin collecting suitable items for the boxes and bring them to us to store at the church until our activity where we will wrap and fill the boxes. You can find a list of suggested items here (be sure to scroll down the lists as there are many suggestions for boys and girls of all ages)."

It’s that time of year! Sign up to meet with President Habing to chat about tithing, life, Kung Fu Panda, or whatever else is on your mind. 🥹

UVic/Camosun/whoever-is-free-to-join institute class  📝

• What: The wonderful Smith missionary couple is hosting a special institute class! (Fear not, regular institute on Friday nights with Sister Smith is still happening. There are also a couple of options for online institute classes in the picture at the bottom of this page.)
• When: Thursdays, 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
• Where: The UVic Multifaith Centre

It shall be epic! ✨ You won’t want to miss it. Invite your friends!

Come help clean the chapel after institute (Friday night) so that the Spirit can be present and that everyone has a nice clean building to use!  Your service is greatly appreciated. 🙏
